July 4th was cool and I can honestly say I did everything American. I went to Bolling Air Force base for their freedom festival. The local lodge hosted a Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament, $15 Buy In:

1st Prize: $250 Gift Card to Best Buy

2nd Prize: 2 Tickets to a Nationals Game

The tournament started at 4pm and was going to last until the fireworks started. Out of the 40 entrants I was the 2nd youngest. Almost everybody else was military or former military which meant in the middle of one hand everybody completely stopped and stood at attention for taps then instantly back to poker. I got 17th place and lost out to the chip leader at the time. I had AK Preflop and went all in versus his pocket queens. He called me and all I got was rags on the board so I was out. But it was fun and I sat around eating ribs and beer talking to the guys who slowly got eliminated but stayed to watch til the end. It wasn't a complete loss though because there was raffle everytime somebody got eliminated at the final table and low and behold I won a prize with lucky 9345. What is it you may wonder?

Hows about a 12 Inch LeBron James action figure HAHAHA

Other than playing poker I got to handle various weapons of the US military. The great thing about living on a military base is you get to play with the weapons every know and then. Got to play with an M16A2, M4 Carbine, M9 Handgun, 10 Gauge shotgun, and a SAW. Man America is Sweet. It was funny though becuase there were like little kids playing with the guns too and the parents were all gung ho about it.

Howdy Folks!... This week has been full of goodness, Here we go!

Last Saturday my family and Noreen all went to the Philippine Independence Gala Ball in DC. Highlights of the night include getting a little drunk off the wine cuz we had absolutley zero to eat the whole day and all of us laughing our asses off when the director of tourism for the PI got up there and said how lots of people enjoy the PI's "beautiful beaches"... but in a really thick filipino accent. Use your imagination.

On sunday I worked but left early cuz I had to study for my Exam in Myth on Mon. It wasn't that bad I got a 90% on it. For the next exam I have a shit load of reading and like 4 movies to watch all by next wednesday, its gonna SUCK.

Yesterday the dryer broke because Jeremy (Janet's Lil Bro) is here. He breaks everything... EVRYTHING (Sike). The dryer had to break when my laundry was in it so I had to string up a clothesline in my room. It's the ghettoest!

This morning I did my usual running, but this time with Noreen, becuz she wanted to start so I got up at 730am to run the loop with her before she had class. She did really well, as we were running though my shins were killing me cuz of the 2.4 miles I did on tuesday, I get really bad shin splints. But hey anything for the Corps.

After she got out of class she came over to study but it was so nice with the warm weather and the fan going we both passed out for like an hour or two. We both eventually woke up and did some more reading, then went to Arundel to walk around. I got another military like bag from OLD NAVY, it was only 7 bucks, I was like how does this place stay in business??

Anyways I cleaned up a lilttle bit for the rest of the night. Mark is coming over cuz he's bored. Gonna play some MVP Baseball 2004. BTW Orioles LOST. Gotta start winning more then ..one.. game in a row guys.

Till Next time, Dan

Today was a lame day. Woke up sneezing like crazy, plus i had a sore throat. Didn't wake up in time for morning PT. Someone turned off the air conditioning or something cuz it was like 1 billion degrees in my room.

But anyways I just stayed in and played poker online at Ultimate Bet. I played in three tournaments. I got  245th, 506th, and then 387th place all outta 1000 participants. I dunno if thats really good or not??

After that played video games with the guys. Then went to the RAC. Couldn't really do much cuz I felt weak. There was this jujitsu class being taught in the gym and a couple of the neighborhood kids were in there. Man these kids had Black belts! Forget guns, these kids settle it old school.
